Anna Silk

Anna Silk is Canadian actress who has been best known in Canada by her character of Bo. Silk was raised in Fredericton New Brunswick Canada. Ilkay, the director of drama and producer of drama and production at St. Thomas University, is Silk's mom. The father of Silk, Peter who was an academic, worked at St. Thomas University. Her father is British and her mother a Turkish-Cypriot-English expat. Anna recalls her mom watching working and going to practice sessions for plays. Silk starred in numerous commercials for children. She graduated with a Bachelor's in Arts in 1997 from St. Thomas University in 1997. Theatre St. Thomas has produced two plays in the early years: Seven Menus and The Kitchen. Silk was able to move out of Toronto to Los Angeles within the years following 1999. Seth Cooperman was her future husband when she began to meet him in 2007 during an acting workshop in Los Angeles. When she got engaged in 2008, they got married in 2009. The couple got married in Fredericton on the 10th of April in 2011, they renewed vows following her change of religion to Judaism. Silk gave birth to the son Samuel Jerome Cooperman in May 2013. Levi Aaron, her second child was born May 13, 2016. Silk's TV work has included her part in Being Erica as Cassidy Holland in which she was awarded an Gemini Awards nod in 2009. In 2009, she was cast as the role of Bo Dennis in Lost Girl. Silk was pregnant while filming of the third season finale episode. She announced the pregnancy to fans of the series during an episode of the Showcase show's pre-show Season Three special on January 6th, 2013. Silk tweeted on June 20, 2013 that she is ready to resume working. The 4th of June 2013, Showcase and Prodigy Pictures officially declared the start of production of the fourth season. The character she played Bo together with Lauren (Zoie Palmer) as same-sex lovers in the show Lost Girl was named one of its all-time Favorite TV Couples by CNN (Cable News Network) as well as named the top TV Couple in 2013. The same was done by E! Entertainment Television. Silk's growth has brought an extensive online presence through social networks.
