Brandt was born in Auckland New Zealand from Cape Town South Africa in the latter part of her the adolescent years. After being discovered by local casting directors, Brandt took on the role of Naevia for the Starz hits Spartacus: Blood and Sand as well as Spartacus: Gods of the Arena. Lesley Brandt, along with the rest of her family, relocated from the United States to Auckland New Zealand back in 1999.
