Alison Wright (born in England) is an English actress. She is most famous for her leading role as Martha Hanson on the FX period spy drama series The Americans, for which she received critical acclaim and a Primetime Emmy Award nomination in 2017. The actress also appeared in her role on the Ryan Murphy limited series Feud: Bette & Joan and Hollywood. Wright, who was adoptive by her parents was born in Sunderland in 1976. She began dancing and acting at a young age. She attended school at New York City at The Barrow Group as well as the Lee Strasberg Theatre and Film Institute. It was her job to waitress as she auditioned for parts. She was scuba diving which was a passion of hers, when she suffered a cardiac incident at sea, which put her in a coma. Six days later, she passed away peacefully surrounded by her loving family who flies to be with her at the hospital. Wright was born in Sunderland on July 12, 1976. The parents she adopted took care of her in the city. She began dancing and acting at a young age. She studied at The Barrow Group and The Lee Strasberg Theatre and Film Institute located in New York City. Alison Fesq Haislip is an American actor and television host on Attack of the Show!
