Tessa Thompson

Tessa Lynn Thompson is an American actress, born three days before Halloween, 1983, in Los Angeles. The actress is the daughter of Marc Anthony Thompson (a singer/songwriter) and granddaughter Bobby Ramos, an actor/musician. She was born in Los Angeles and raised there prior to moving to Brooklyn. Her father is of Afro-Panamanian origin, and her mother from Mexican as well as British Isles heritage. Thompson was involved in several productions while in Santa Monica High School. Following her graduation, she went to Santa Monica College where she obtained a degree in cultural anthropology. As Juliet was the title character of William Shakespeare's play "Romeo as well as Juliet" during a Pasadena California production at the Boston Court Theatre.
